Camping

Hooray for a great husband that took all of the kids on the ward campout so that I could have some quiet time with just the baby! Thanks Honey!

Pepper

Well I had to give Pepper away. I feel awful, but it was necessary. She was getting to be too much for me to handle with everything else that I have to do (kids, sleep, housework, etc.) She was a good puppy and Russell and I really liked her, but the kids didn't like her too much. Russell doesn't have time to train her, walk her, etc. and I just can't handle it. I feel really bad that now I figure out that I can say no to something.

SO I was driving to the shelter and crying my eyes out and just feeling awful. When I got there a nice worker said that she's been thinking about getting a lab and that she'd like mine! Hooray someone wants her, that can take care of her and give her all the attention that she needs! I was so thrilled. She came last night to pick Pepper up and I think that she will just give Pepper a great home.

So everything turned out o.k., but it was a VERY emotional day. I was completely drained by the end of the night. Now we know that we shouldn't have a dog until 1. We have a bigger yard/house. 2. The kids are older and don't need attention every 5 seconds. We still love dogs, and hopefully we'll get one at a less complicated time in our life.

Russell and I gave Cannon his first bath on Sunday. He seemed to like it. He didn't cry, he just kept looking around. At the end of his bath he did what little boys do without a diaper on! (At least he didn't get any on him!)

Crazed Shopper

Well today was the big day that I ventured to the store with three little ones all by myself. Even though I had to use the big cart that I hate, overall we did o.k. I purposely chose Target because I knew they had the big cart and I hoped that it would keep Audrey and Hunter contained. I also needed to look at Sara's registry, go to the pharmacy, get some things off my list and buy some groceries for the camp out. The big cart worked for a little while, until Hunter wanted to walk. Of course Audrey had to get out too. Its a good thing Cannon just kept sleeping (I don't know what I'll do when everyone can walk). I did find a good distraction on Sara's registry... toilet cleaners! Its a good thing she wanted them because they made great "swords" to slay all of the dragons in the store. Needless to say it kept them entertained for a little while! So I did it, I can handle going to the store... well today I can. Now I'm going to take a nap because I am worn out!

Princess

Audrey is very much a girly girl. After two rough and tumble boys it is a refreshing change, and now that she is the only girl I guess she deserves to be a princess. Her Daddy is glad that he only has one little girl that is wrapped around his finger. He really loves his princess.

She loves to put on make up and wear pretty dresses. She really likes her purses and to play with her baby dolls, but watch out if she doesn't get her way!

Now, this is also the girl that will eat dirt out of the yard and will also wrestle with her brothers or the dog, but if you just think of her as a princess with attitude then you have our Audrey. We love her lots!

Happy Mother's Day

*I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Aren't these kids cute? It is great and exhusting being a mother, but I wouldn't trade my job. I had a yummy breakfast in bed and got some great looking strawberry plants that will be planted in my new garden area. I finished my day with a delicious chocolate cake. Isn't everyting better with chocolate?
*Well, after the doctor's visit today I can report that Cannon has grown to 21 1/2 inches and is now 9 lbs. So he is growing well.
*Hunter and Audrey love to hold him, and Isaac can't give him enough kisses. Russell thinks he's perfect. SO overall we are loving having a new baby in our home. I just wish that I got a little more sleep! :)

All is Well

Well, it has been 2 weeks now since Cannon was born. I don't have a lot of time right now, but I wanted to let everyone know that things are going good. Cannon is a sweet, calm baby. I'll post more pictures soon (we're off to the pediatrician).
