For only $1.50 you can spend the day learning about the history of clark county. There is an interesting muesum that takes you through the very beginnings of the big ocean drying up to become a desert all the way to the start of gambling in Vegas. Its an interesting history.
Then you can go outside and walk around some trails and go into some buildings in the ghost town. Hopping around are some wild rabbits and other desert creatures. Next we went to a train depot and then onto a train.
After that we walked to heritage street. This street has several houses on it that you can go into and explore. Each house is decorated and has information from a different time period (ex. a 1920's house right next door to a 1050's house).
It was fun to walk through and see so many neat things. We had a blast!

The Dinosaur Park
The weather has been PERFECT lately (sorry to everyone else shoveling snow)! We have been enjoying being outside and took the opportunity to go to the park near my sister's house. It is a beautiful park surrounded by grass and water with ducks. The playground has a huge dinosaur head, bones, dino eggs, sand to dig in and regular playround stuff like swings, slides and climbing things. We had a picnic and had a lovely day.

Visiting the Valley of Fire
Valley of Fire is a great place to camp, so when we went there for the day my kids weren't sure what we would do. Well, we found plenty. We looked at the visitors center, climbed the rocks (Isaac's favorite) and took some pictures of the sites. Since I don't like to hike, we just drove to a place, took a picture, then drove to the next place. It was great!
