Bass Pro Shop Fun & Santa
We went to Bass Pro Shops one Saturday with some friends of ours. We were excited to see Santa! Since there is a long wait to see the big man we got a "bass pass" which is like a fast pass at Disneyland. We had to wait for like an hour or so and then we got to go right to the front of the line. While waiting there were a lot of things to do and see.
Did we ever mention that Audrey likes pink? She thinks this would be great to ride in Missouri!
This was a large race track that Isaac thought would make a great present. He didn't seem to care that it was HUGE and wouldn't fit in our house!
Never too young to practice for hunting season in MO! And of course Audrey had to have the pink gun!
We walked next door to the Silverton to watch the mermaid show in the huge tank filled with huge fish and other creatures.
Cute Kidos and Santa & Mrs. Klaus were great!
After all the fun and excitement we sat outside and ate our moon pies that Hunter told us were his favorite. Russ and I thought they were nasty, but it was still a nice little treat to end our adventure.
Oh yeah, our friends that came with? Well here is Nicole with her 3 children plus two of ours! She is amazing!!!
We had fun, but were glad to go home!

I Can't Believe I Forgot to Post This!
Ain't it purrty? AND it was delish!!!!
Sara saw this bird on the Taste of Home magazine and said we should try to cook ours like it. We did and it turned out beautifully. Yum! Just seeing the picture makes me want to defrost another turkey and do it again! I did volunteer to cook a turkey for the ward Christmas party, so now I've cooked a beautiful, yummy bird twice!

Cousin Visit
Megan came into town with Grandma for a visit and we were lucky to spend some time with her. We had lunch in the park and then played for a while. Megan brought Audrey a cute build-a-bear bunny that her and Lily made for her. Audrey loves it. Since there's only 3 girl cousins on that side they need to stick together!
Later Megan came over so she could see Hunter and Isaac when they got home from school. She wrestled Isaac (maybe she was missing her brothers) and played in Audrey's room. Audrey didn't want her to leave and keeps asking when she's coming back. I'm so glad that they got along and had fun together.

Fall
I love the fall. I think its my favorite season! Maybe its because its a little cooler. Maybe because my birthday is in Sept. Or maybe its just the beautiful leaves. I know that most of the country is starting to feel like winter, but here its still glorious fall.
I had to search for this tree with the beautiful leaves, because if you didn't know palm trees and cactus don't change. I love this tree. It reminds me of home.

Beautiful Day at the Park

Going to the Park
It was a beautiful day so we went to the park. I was so impressed with Hunter. We haven't really ridden bikes with him often, so I was a little nervous. He did great! I was so happy for him.
The rest of us followed in the wagon that my Dad made. We love the wagon!
Park pictures will be posted soon, I just wanted to post about Hunter on his bike!

Important Events That I Didn't Mention Yet
I can't believe that it's already the middle of November and I haven't mentioned 3 VERY important events that took place in October!
The first is this cutie! Olivia Catherine Coleman was born on October 16th. You can see some more pictures over on Sara's blog (the good Aunt that posted about her right after she was born!) Congrats to Cathy, Dwain and big brother Caleb!
The second big event was that the binky fairy came to our house!!! If you haven't heard of her, let me fill you in. She is a wonderful fairy that comes to your house and will pick up all of your binkies and then gives them to babies that need them. We were also lucky that she was able to pick up Hunter's silkies too.
We had the kids put all of their comfort items into a box and then magically the box was gone in the morning. It was replaced with some gifts for the kids for being so brave. Hunter got a new bakugan, Audrey a strawberry shortcake doll and Cannon a firetruck. They were thrilled and the comfort items haven't been missed too much. Audrey is the one that asks for a binky most often. She's even said that she'll give back her Strawberry. We just need to find the binky fairy's house. Too bad it's so far away...
The last big event was that Carsten John Dobbins was born on October 30th! I got to see a quick peek of him when we dropped off some flowers to his Mommy. I've seen pictures on facebook, but I don't have one to share with you. Let me just tell you that he's a cutie! I can't wait to see him and hold him soon.
Isn't that awesome that my sister and sister-in-law both had babies the same month? AND.. my other sister and other sister-in-law are both pregnant right now and both due in May. What a crazy coincidence!

Valley of Fire
When my BIL's cousin was here visiting from Guatamala, we got to hang out. She is GREAT as my sister mentioned in her blog. After making a ton of jelly and sewing up a storm, I decided that she should see a little of the country that she was visiting. So we went to Valley of Fire. My kids love going there and climbing on the rocks and I like getting out of the city. We went on a looooong (1 mile)hike in loose sand, carrying kids to see basically a hole. Then we had a nice refreshing picnic and saw some of the other sights. The kids fell asleep before we even left the park. I think that Tanya had a good time. It was a beautiful day and I'm glad we took the time out of our busy schedules to go.
