More Playing with Cousins

Image
Kyle wasn't always sure he liked playing with Coral. It was hard to share. I'm sure that when they are a little older they will be great friends. He was always very gentle with her.

Cousins

Kyle and Coral playing with some horses. Kyle was very sweet with her.

Playtime

Image
There is lots of playtime in Missouri and we love to be with our cousins. Megan and Audrey were playing downstairs for a while then Cannon joined them... He's protesting my taking his picture! Ha ha! Can't wait to show him when he's a teenager!

Break Time

Image
Cannon and Drew took a break from playing, riding bikes/scooters, chasing balls and in general getting as filthy as possible to enjoy some fruit snacks. These two boys love hanging out. They each say that the other is their best friend. I love it!

Abigail

Image
Please welcome my new niece Abigail! There's a little story about her on Cathy's blog, here , if you want to read it. I'm just thankful that Mom and baby are doing good.

Western Park

Image
My MIL found this adorable park and invited us to have a picnic. The picnic tables were underneath covered wagons and the bathrooms were in a fake western town. We went with cousins, Drew, Carsten and Brode. It was really neat and I'm looking forward to going again.

2010 Girls

Image
My Mom had two grandbabies born only 4 months apart! Sophia and Coral are going to be great playmates as they grow up. I can just see it now...

Hiking

Image
I don't like hiking very much. I love camping and doing things outdoors, but hiking isn't really my favorite thing. So when Hunter asked to go hiking I gladly delegated that to Russell. He had the day off because we had just come home from the hospital and the boys were out of school, so I told them that this would be a perfect chance for them to go. They picked up their cousin A.J. and headed to Red Rock. They all had a good time. Hunter's only complaint was that it was too short!

Fiesta

Image
We went to a Mexican Independence Day Fiesta. People were supposed to dress up from whichever country they were from. There were some beautiful dresses and spectacular sombreros. The food was great and the kids had fun running around and dancing on the stage. Audrey has a cute Mexican dress that Grandma & Grandpa Dobbins bought her when they were in Mexico. So she was a little blond Mexican and oh so adorable! For Hunter and Cannon I went all American. Can wore his USA shirt and both boys had their cowboy hats on. Their cousins looked cute too. A.J. wore a Guatemalan blanket around his shoulders and Sophia wore a USA shirt with a Guatemalan scarf tied like a skirt. Unfortunately the picture didn't work great but that's what you get with kids and a baby that just wants to sleep.

Back to the Present Time

Image
I've been trying to get some posts caught up, but now I need to step back into the present to tell you a few things that have been going on. This first is about this little lady, and then I'll do a post about Cannon's leg. Hopefully I'll be able to continue to go back, but I might just have to move forward. Time keeps on going! (This is the post that I did for my sister Sara's blog.) WELCOME SOPHIA GRACE! This little girl sure wasn't ready to make an appearance! She was a week overdue, when the Dr. said it was time to induce. That didn't go very smoothly either. She really didn't want to come, but after over 24 hours of labor she came by c-section. Mom and baby are doing great. She was born on Thursday, June 3rd at around noon. She is 6 pounds and 13 ounces and is 19 inches. She really is quite perfect. Alber says that she is beautiful just like Sara. Great Grandma Coral just loves her and was glad that she was able to come see her. I can't wait for...

The 3 Youngest

Image
Too soon these 3 boys will be off the porch and out in the action of 4th of July. Cousins: Cannon, Andrew & Kyle

Hours of Fun

Image
Thank you Grandpa Mike for the new video games. The boys love playing together.

Uh, oh!

Image
When things get a little too quiet during play time you know that's not a good thing. I found Audrey & Megan playing with soap and not in the bathroom. They smeared it all over themselves. At least when we washed them off they were really clean!

Silly Faces

Image
What do you do with three kids stuck in car seats in the back of the truck while waiting for Grandma? Have them make silly faces and take their picture of course! It really helped to pass the time. They loved to make the faces and then to see themselves afterwards! What silly kids!

Pony Express Museum

Image
The Pony Express museum in St. Joseph, MO was really neat. They had a lot of cool things to see and things for the kids to do. The museum is built on the site of the original stable. This post was the very first one that started the whole thing. Reading about the pony express, it was just amazing.

Hamilton Park

Image
After the petting zoo we went over to the city park. The kids had fun even though it was getting pretty hot. We didn't stay very long, I took a few pictures and then we left to have lunch at Subway. This was on a Friday. What I didn't realize until Monday was that my camera seemed to be missing. More on that tomorrow...
