A Dobbins' Day

 My kids like to pose by statues and Coral is no exception.  This pig was just her size and too irristable! Even Maggie posed with the piggie!

I found Coral asleep on my bed like this.  I'm not sure why she had the light saber, but it sure looks like it will protect her from any bad dreams!  Sleep tight sweet girl!

Back in the summer Audrey cut Coral's hair when it was on top of her head in pigtails.  So we had to go to the hairdresser and get it "fixed".  Which resulted in a short pixie cut.  It is now finally growing out and I can get it back into pigtails or a ponytail on top of her head.  But it is so weird.  Its all different lengths and thick on top with a long stragely section in back.  Its kinda mullet-ish.  When I can get her to keep her hair up out of her eyes it isn't too bad.  I really want to cut it, but I'm not sure it will help.  I think I need to just let it be and resist the urge until it can grow out more and not be so awakward.

Audrey likes to hold Maggie.  She is a good helper for me. Coral also loves to hold Maggie.  These two have adorable smiles! Cannon loves to just hang out!  He's so silly!

We went to lunch group this week and they went to a cafe in Winterset, IA.  It is in Madison County, which was made famous from the movie The Bridges of Madison County.  The cafe we went to was even in the movie!  I watched the movie in college but wasn't impressed, I don't even think I finished it.  BUT I was very excited to learn the Madison County is the county right next to us and Winterset is only like a half hour away. The town of Winterset was really cute and I want to go back and explore some of the shops and things to do there.  They had a beautiful courthouse that Coral insisted was her castle.  The rest of the day she was a princess and wanted to go to her castle.  She even said there was a froggy in the pond!  When Russell came home she told him that he was the prince and that he should take her to the castle.  Where does she come up with this?  Can't wait to go back! Hunter decided to try basketball this year.  He's number 9.  This was from his first game.  He's doing really good, he just needs to work on his offense, defense is great!  Its nice to be in a gym instead of out in the elements to watch him play!

Kyle wasn't always sure he liked playing with Coral. It was hard to share. I'm sure that when they are a little older they will be great friends. He was always very gentle with her.

Hunter and Coral were hanging out on Aunt Tammy & Uncle Wyatt's new porch. He's such a great big brother! And I am so jealous of their porch! I wraps around 3 sides and has a great view!

These pictures don't really show just how weird this room was, but we were exhusted so it didn't really matter. We slept and then left early the next day, our last day of traveling before we arrived in Missouri!

Most of the time Coral is super happy. She's got great smiles for everyone and is very easy going. But sometimes she's not so happy and she'll let you know it! Either way, she's adorable.

My sister's and I traveled back to MN for my Grandpa's memorial. We each took our youngest with us, who all happened to be girls. So the 6 girls took a little time to remember Grandpa Mitton. I'm not sure why I don't have any pictures of Cathy or Abigail. These ones came from my phone, so maybe the other ones were on my camera? Oh well, here's a few of Sara, Sophie, Me and Coral.

5 months old. Loves to smile and grab things. Can almost giggle. Getting her first tooth. Super cute!

We went to a preview of the wild animal show at the springs preserve. They will be starting the show next month and gave members a preview so they could work out any kinks. Since our Saturdays are so busy with soccer and baseball I wasn't sure we could go next month so we took advantage of the preview. The pictures are kinda bad, but the show was good. Audrey's favorite, the otter. Cannon's favorite the blue tongue lizard. My favorite, the ant eater. Baby Kangaroo (marsupial) Coral and Cannon liked the show (I'm not sure why I don't have a picture of Audrey).

While Hunter and Audrey are at choir, Cannon runs around outside or watches a movie in a friends car. So I get to hang out with Coral, which isn't a bad thing. Love this girl!
