Saving Money by Cutting Hair at Home

Image
Going to a salon to get a haircut can be quite expensive. Times that by 6 heads of hair and its astranomical! So I've started cutting hair at home. It might not be professional, but it gets the job done and looks pretty decent most of the time. My Sweetheart Before... Hunter Before... Audrey Before... Cannon Before... My Sweetheart After... Hunter After... Audrey After... Cannon After... Now to really save money, just don't cut it! Isaac has been growing his out some and it looks great! Isaac combing out his curls for the Poofy 'Do he loves. Who cuts my hair? My Sweetheart or my friend Kelli. :)

Award

Russell recieved the On My Honor award for boyscouting. Congratulations Sweetheart. You deserve it and more, you've worked hard. Love you!

She's Getting Ready, but Am I?

Image
Audrey is definately showing signs of being ready for potty training, but I'm scared. I went through a lot with Hunter, so I'm a little gun shy about starting her. Maybe if I wait long enough she'll do it all by herself. Wishful thinking?

Get Your Game Face On!

Image
A few weeks ago My Sweetheart and I went to the UNLV football game with my BIL Gavan and SIL Cheryl. It was a super fun double date. The game was against Hawaii and my SIL warned me that last year there were a LOT of fist fights. So when I saw this sign, I got a little worried. The next frame said text your seat number to this number and help will be on the way. Well, no big brawls broke out, at least not in our section. I was relieved and secretly disappointed. The game came down right to the last seconds with UNLV coming out on top. It was a lot of fun!

Bonding

Most of the time these two get along great and will even play together. Now if I could be just brave enough to get rid of the binkies...

Cute Girl Hair

Image
Sometimes it is just so much fun to have a little girl! When she lets me, I love to do her hair.

Real Bowling

Image
A friend of mine gave us a pass for some free bowling with shoe rental, so we decided to go. It was so much fun! I hadn't been bowling since Russ and I were dating, so we were long over due. The kids had a blast and looked so cute. Now Hunter asks everyone if they've been real bowling (instead of wii bowling). He keeps telling us how awesome it was. FUN family time! :)

Lemonade Stand

Image
Having a lemonade stand when you're a kid, seems to be a requirement and Hunter has been wanting to do one for a while. So when we did our garage sale, we got him set up. He was really cute, talking to people and saying "Lemonade for sale. Get your lemonade here!" Of course his younger brother and sister had to help out too! They were wearing some silly hats that Aunt Cathy was trying to sell at our sale. He made like $5, so it was pretty successful. Way to go buddy!

My Man in Uniform

Image
What is it about a man in uniform that is just so darn irresistible? Yep, he's wearing the knee socks again! Love you Sweetheart!!!!

The Fro

Image
Isaac's hair is getting pretty long, but he has been putting gel in it and it scrunches all up into curls. It looks really good, but for some reason he loves to do this... Don't touch! His hair is totally off limits! He really loves his 'fro!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake Bars

Image
What You Need: 1 pkg. chocolate cake mix 1 pkg. chocolate instant pudding 1/2 C. butter, melted 1/2 C. cold milk 6 squares bakers chocolate (I recommend using 1 C. chocolate chips instead) 1 C. dry roasted peanuts, divided (I didn't use these, because the kids said no) 1 C. creamy peanut butter Make it: Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line 13X9 inch pan with foil; spray with cooking spray. Mix first four ingredients until blended. (Mixture will be thick.) Press half the cake mix mixture into prepared pan. Bake 10 minutes. (Then I put mine in the freezer for 10 min.) Chop the chocolate. (The second and third time I made this, I used chocolate chips which I highly recommend.) Sprinkle half of each of the chocolate and nuts over crust; top with peanut butter. Cover with layers of remaining cake mix mixture, chocolate and nuts. Press gently with spatula. Bake 15 min. Cool 1 hour. Refrigerate 4 hours before cutting into bars (or put in freezer to speed up the waiting time!) Grab a glas...
