Labor Day

What is Labor Day? Hunter asked me and all I could think of was that he didn't have to go to school and Daddy didn't have to work. So I looked it up.

Labor Day originated in Canada and was later adopted in the US. It is to celebrated "the strength and esprit de corps of the trade and labor organizations."

Traditionally, Labor Day is celebrated by most Americans as the symbolic end of the summer. Forms of celebration include picnics, barbecues, fireworks displays, water sports, and public art events.

So that's what we did. We invited some friends and family over for a BBQ and swimming. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed some yummy food and lots of fun.
